HandiHelp is a growing in-house team consisting of eight individuals with the ability to expand by bringing in up to 50 additional RHFAC Professionals to meet clients; specific needs, and timelines. Our team comprises university or college-educated specialists in Universal Design, construction, and interior design (residential layouts), ensuring accessibility for both unit owners and visitors. If required, HandiHelp also has the option to engage specialists in digital accessibility. All our staff members are based in Ontario and British Columbia and possess a comprehensive understanding of CSA requirements and AODA statutes.

    With a background in architectural renderings, blueprint design, and planning, Chris is highly skilled in providing guidance and support throughout all stages of a construction project. With over 20 years of experience in electrical and construction, Chris possesses extensive knowledge of AODA legislation and Building Codes. His expertise has been further enhanced through recent training and certification from the Rick Hansen Foundation Accessibility Certification program. Motivated by his own life-altering spinal cord injury, Chris has channeled his experiences into a powerful mission for positive change. His unique perspective combines pre-injury professional expertise with lived experience, enabling him to conduct comprehensive accessibility assessments and offer valuable recommendations.

    Tony faced a life-changing accident in 2006, resulting in paralysis in his right arm. Before the accident, he had an extensive background in wireless and computer technologies. Motivated by his curiosity and adapting to his new lifestyle, Tony pursued a career in robotics and studied at Algonquin College. He is now the inventor of the T-Pull Door Closer, a device that facilitates door closing for individuals with limited strength, balance, and mobility. Tony holds certification as an accessible professional from the Rick Hansen Foundation and offers his services in Ottawa and the surrounding areas.

    Jenny played a key role as a co-architect of the RHFAC Rating Survey, which forms the foundation of the RHFAC certification system. In her role as Director of Accessibility Advisory Services, she served as the lead consultant for new construction projects. She conducted accessibility assessments for various clients and industries, including residential, commercial, healthcare, municipalities, and government. Jenny has extensive experience delivering professional training programs, developing curricula, and teaching accessibility courses.

As an RHFAC Professional, he possesses specialized knowledge in building for accessibility and the built environment. Tino collaborates effectively with architects, engineers, and other trades to ensure projects are completed to the highest standards. He is highly regarded for his commitment to excellent customer service, delivering high-quality work on time and within budget.

Deena has been actively involved in advocating for accessibility and spent over five years in various roles with the Rick Hansen Foundation. Most recently, she served as the Program Lead for the Invictus 2017 Games National Flag Tour Games.
